Description from the seller
Wonderful pair of calcite crystal cluster & red jasper sphere on custom stands.
A calcite refers to a naturally formed or artificially shaped crystal of calcite that exhibits a cubic form. Calcite typically crystallizes in the trigonal crystal system, forming rhombohedral or scalenohedral crystals. However, under certain conditions, calcite can form cubic crystals. These cubic crystals are relatively rare compared to other forms of calcite. Calcites are characterized by their geometric shape, resembling with six square faces. The edges and corners are often well-defined, creating a symmetrical and aesthetically pleasing crystal. The formation of calcite can be influenced by factors such as temperature, pressure, and chemical composition of the surrounding environment. Calcite crystals are typically found in areas where there is enough space for crystal growth without interference from other minerals.
Calcites are fascinating examples of the diversity of crystal forms that minerals can take, showcasing the natural beauty and symmetry inherent in crystalline structures.
Red jasper is a type of jasper, which is an opaque variety of chalcedony. It is characterized by its reddish color, which can range from deep brick red to a lighter rusty hue. Like other forms of jasper, red jasper is composed primarily of silicon dioxide (SiO2) and often contains other minerals or impurities that contribute to its unique coloration.
