Description from the seller
Our sculptures from the 'Maraña' series are a whirlwind of stainless steel. Hand-forged, each curve and spiral conveys movement and fluidity, symbolizing the constant changes we face. When you contemplate it, you will feel a wave of energy and vigor that will fill your home with a modern and elegant presence, inspiring reflection and awe.
This sculpture from the 'Maraña Inox' series is the result of improvisation; once started, we let ourselves be carried away by the sinuous shapes that form the sculpture.
The certificate of authenticity is attached.
Fern is the pseudonym used by the sculptor Clavo when collaborating with the sculptor Carmen Lop.
Both sculptors work with metal forging, primarily with iron and steel.
The techniques they mainly use are forging and welding.
Their styles range from figurative to abstract, passing through pop art.
They place great importance on technique and craftsmanship to create a good sculpture.
They have participated in numerous group and solo exhibitions, mainly national.
They have received separate awards, including the 'City of Avila Urban Sculpture Award' in 2006 and the 'Memorial to the Victims of Machista Violence' in Zaragoza in 2016.
They admire Spanish sculptors such as Martín Chirino, Jorge Oteiza, Eduardo Chillida, and Julio González.
