Description from the seller
(TBO) - Original Drawing "Los Piratas Chasqueados" + Original Color Guide by Louis Forton - (circa 40s-50s)
Exceptional original production set published in the legendary magazine TBO.
Unique piece of comic book history: the complete original page of the comic 'Los Piratas Chasqueados,' signed by the legendary author L. Forton.
What truly makes this lot special is that it retains the original Color Guide (colorist instructions). As can be seen in the photographs, behind the main drawing is the hand-colored reference sheet, which served as a guide for the lithographer to create the magazine's color plates.
It is extremely rare to find the complete set (drawing + Color) on the market, as color guides were usually discarded in the printing house after use.
Technical details:
Signed by L. Forton (Louis Forton).
Publication: TBO (Pencil notes in the margin indicate 'TBO 5 PAGE 4', possibly corresponding to an Almanac or extra issue).
Condition: Good for its age. The paper exhibits the natural cream tone of the passage of time, without significant tears affecting the image.
Dimensions: 22.5 cm (width) x 29 cm (height).
A magnificent opportunity for TBO collectors and lovers of the artisanal process of classic comics.
