The Ala lamp is a striking creation by the renowned Italian designer Carlo Nason, designed in 1969. The Nason family is globally known for their masterful glasswork with Murano glass, making this lamp particularly special as it is made entirely of metal. Aside from a few prototypes, the Ala was never put into production and the design fell into obscurity.

That was until Patrick Vossen, founder of axis71, by chance discovered a prototype on the internet. Fascinated by this forgotten design, he decided to breathe new life into the lamp.
