Battuta di caccia classica, 1940-1950, oil painting, United Kingdom, sold with frame.
Description from the seller
Exceptionally without reservation!
Magnificent old master painting, oil on canvas, depicting a lively English hunting scene with a red-jacketed knight and packs of hounds running. The work is striking for its dynamic composition, the elegance of the white horse in the foreground, and the meticulous rendering of the dogs, each captured in a different movement. In the background, a wooded landscape in autumnal hues creates depth and atmosphere.
The canvas features dense, even craquelure, a fascinating testament to its antiquity and the passage of time. The brushstrokes are refined and detailed, typical of European hunting painting from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
Complete with contemporary frame in ebonized gilded wood, elegant and well-proportioned.
Normal signs of aging consistent with age.
Photographs taken under direct spotlight light to highlight textures and pictorial details.
Fast, professional shipping with very careful packaging: hence the related shipping costs.
In accordance with current regulations on works of art, no lots will be shipped outside Europe (Schengen area), except by private agreement at the buyer's expense.
