Michael Tkatschow is a German artist and art lecturer at the Stade Art School.
He graduated from the University of Applied Sciences Hamburg, Department of Design and Illustration.
The artist works in various techniques (primarily acrylic painting and mixed media) and combines abstract and surreal forms and textures with figurative classical painting in his distinctive visual language.
The painting "Rote Kutte" is one of his new works after 2020, where the artist deviates more strongly from the rules of academic art and attempts to combine random forms with figurative painting. In the paintings in this series, the artist creates a mystical and surreal atmosphere ,which is typical for all his works.
