Description from the seller

Sergei Rafalovich (1875–1943)
Цвѣтки алые (Tsvetki alye / The Scarlet Flowers).
Tiflis, Из-во «Кавказский Посредникъ» (Kavkazskiy Posrednik), [circa 1898–1915].

In-18 oblong, publisher's brochure, light brown typographic cover. Small missing piece at the top left corner of the front cover.
Rare Russian provincial edition, published in Tiflis (now Tbilisi), before the spelling reform of 1918.

A poet and critic close to Russian symbolism, Rafalovich was one of the introducers of Verhaeren and Maeterlinck to Russia. This small collection illustrates the literary vitality of the Caucasus at the turn of the century.
Limited edition, very little mentioned in bibliographies
