Maurizio Valch (1972) - Calm and Tranquility Series: A Custodian in the Constellation (XXL)

The piece is in excellent condition, with no damage or restorations.

The work does not include a frame or stretcher. It will be carefully shipped rolled inside a protective tube.

The artwork shown in the photos is the root composition. From this origin, five original paintings will emerge, each with its own unique variation, adding greater symbolic strength and artistic value to the whole.
Whoever wins this auction will become the custodian of one of these five unique variations, becoming part of a small artistic constellation.

An original, hand-painted artwork will be delivered (not a copy or reproduction), accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity that includes the “Constellation of Custodians”: the five possible positions within the universe of this series.

The collector will receive digital process images, showing how their unique variation was created, as well as a reference to the other variations in the series (up to a total of five), together with their metaphysical and symbolic explanation.

Each variation will also include an original poem, belonging to my forthcoming unpublished book — the natural continuation of my previous publications:

The poem will be different for each painting and will be created in dialogue with the artwork. It will not be an external text, but a living part of the composition: a literary reflection of the image. In this way, each painting contains both a visual landscape and a verbal one, both born from the same creative atmosphere.

The variations will be unique but never arbitrary. They will be created within the same style, palette and symbolic universe as the root composition.
Each painting will respect the visual identity of the project, yet breathe with its own form — five different voices speaking the same pictorial language.

Here, the art —and the artist— propose a conscious game. One enters a story. The collector becomes part of a poetic constellation: five distinct perspectives on the same dream.

Each variation will have its own breath, its own shadow and its own silence. The collector does not only acquire a physical artwork, but also a place within that constellation.

These works form part of the artist’s ongoing research into the identity and destiny of forms. Each one will emerge freely, as if the image were breathing five times before settling into the world.

About the Artist

I work under the artistic name Maurizio Valch, a pseudonym that synthesises my inner journey and my search for creative authenticity.

I am a visual artist, writer, and graphic designer, trained in Graphic Design and Fine Arts in Córdoba (Argentina). I lived in Miami (USA) until 2013, where I ran my own atelier, and later in Barcelona (Spain), where I participated in exhibitions at the Real Círculo Artístico, and in 2017 presented a work at the Gran Teatre del Liceu. I have also collaborated with the MACBA.

I work full-time on my pictorial series, which often include recurring symbols such as portals, stairways, night skies and elements loaded with personal meaning. Each painting is usually accompanied by an original poem.

The artworks are shipped directly from the atelier in the city where I am working at the moment. I have residency in four countries: Spain, Italy, Argentina, and the United States.
