Description from the seller
I live and work in Slovakia, and shipping within the European Union takes 7–10 days.
When I created this painting, I felt as if I had stepped into a place that exists somewhere between memory and reality. I imagined standing in the boat alongside this quiet, solitary figure, looking toward the house glowing warmly on the opposite shore. I wanted to capture that moment when evening settles in, yet the world is still filled with reflections, shimmering colors, soft water, and the last warm echoes of daylight.
For me, this house became a symbol of something distant yet familiar — a destination one longs for, but never rushes toward. The water acts as a mirror holding the light, the forest, and the sky, transforming an ordinary evening into a gently enchanted state of calm.
The painting is created with acrylic on canvas, using both dense and translucent layers that allow the colors to vibrate and blend in front of the viewer. I used vivid pink and orange tones to capture the glow on the far shore, contrasting them with deep blues and turquoise shades of the water. The trees are painted with fine, rhythmic strokes to guide the eye deeper into the composition. I paid special attention to the reflections — built from semi-transparent, layered brushstrokes to convey the movement and breathing quality of water. The boat and the figure are intentionally darker and more solid, forming a quiet focal point amid all the light and color.
