The Prophet - Yellowman - Navajo - U.S.

Bennie Yellowman Nelson is a well-known Navajo artist who has been painting for over 50 years. He comes from a family of weavers and glass bead embroiderers and has been drawing and painting since childhood. He is especially known for his acrylic and watercolor artworks that emphasize indigenous culture and convey a sense of wildness and strength. He is also recognized for his expressive portraits of warriors.
