Description from the seller
Lot of 4 original US comics from the series The Amazing Spider-Man (vol. 1, Marvel Comics, 1985–1986):
#270 (11/1985) – Epic final showdown with Firelord, former herald of Galactus: one of the moments of greatest physical strength for Spider-Man in the black costume, while Avengers such as Captain America arrive too late to stop the devastating duel in the streets of New York.
#271 (12/1985) – “Whatever Happened to Crusher Hogan?”: Crusher Hogan, the wrestler Peter faced in his early days (Amazing Fantasy 15), returns. Now a gym janitor, he finds himself embroiled in a world of scams and criminals; Spider-Man must save him and, with a little white lie, restore his dignity in the eyes of everyone.
#272 (01/1986) – “Make Way for Slyde!”: First appearance and origin of Slyde, a criminal whose costume is covered in ultra-slippery material that makes him impossible to grip and impervious to cobwebs. After a bank robbery and a heated confrontation with Spider-Man, he ends up taking revenge on his corrupt old boss.
#273 (02/1986) – Secret Wars II tie-in: In “To Challenge the Beyonder!” Spider-Man, still in his black costume, finds himself alongside Puma (Thomas Fireheart), who is determined to kill the all-powerful Beyonder. Peter is torn between stopping Puma and letting the mysterious cosmic being pay for his experiments on humanity.
Marvel Comics, USA, 1985–1986.
Standard American comic book format, approx. 17 × 26 cm, approximately 36 pages per issue.
Language: English.
