Fruit and color united at the start
The Dominio del Águila Taravante Barrica Singular sends out a strong cherry red along with garnet-colored reflections. The bouquet of the Spanish red wine brings shimmering fruit to the nose. Ripe black cherry, raspberry and cassis come together here. Surrounded by a hint of roasted coffee beans, the fruit remains the main protagonist until the first sip.

In the mouth, Jorge Monzon's red wine is full and lush from the first second. Perfectly balanced and structured tannin gives it a lot of grip and a velvety-soft body. Black cherry, blackberry jelly and a hint of pink pepper make the moment on the palate so impressive. The oak wood nuance only emerges discreetly in the long aftertaste and sets a fine final point.

Jorge Monzon describes the Dominio del Águila Taravante Barrica Singular as a reflection of his soul and the terroir of the Ribera del Duero region. The cuvée primarily consists of Tempranillo, a grape variety typical of the area that thrives here. The old Taravante vineyard provides the fruit. It lies high above sea level between Peñas Aladas and Canta la Perdiz. Monzon's grandfather already planted the vines growing here. In the cellar, the winemaker processes the fruit gently and with a lot of patience. Sufficient rest on the mash and a carefully selected barrique barrel form the red wine. The barrel ultimately delivers only a few bottles. This underlines the exclusive character of the wine and makes it a jewel in sophisticated cellars.
