Description from the seller
In the same volume, a series of seven works on the history of Holland, its kings, nobility, various regions, etc. All are in their original editions. The author is Pieter Cornelius Bockenberg (1548–1617), who in 1591 was appointed official historian of the States of Holland. I photographed the title pages; here is the list.
- Histories of the Batavians published so far: With a catalog of all volumes concerning Batavian affairs to be published. Lyon: at the Plantinian press, by Franciscus Raphelenus, 1592. Pages 15, (1).
- Kings of Prussia, Batavia, and Friesland. Also, at Lugdunum Batavorum; and Wassenaar's heroes; of the most ancient peoples of Holland; history and genealogy. P. Cornelissonii Bockenbergii Goudani, at Lugdunum Batavorum, from the workshop of Ioannis Paetsius, 1589. Pp. (16), 175, (33).
