Description from the seller
Elegant Richard Ginori service, crafted in the classic and prestigious Antico Doccia shape and decorated with the Ariston pattern, one of the most delicate and refined variants of the manufactory. The service features bright white porcelain, made even more elegant by gilding with pure gold and small polychrome bouquets, painted with soft and harmonious tones. The Antico Doccia shape, with its wavy rim and iconic silhouette inspired by the 18th-century tradition of the Manifattura di Doccia, gives the pieces timeless charm and a classic character of great value.
Composition:
12 flat plates, 24 cm diameter
- 12 deep dishes 23ø (one dish is chipped)
12 small plates, 20 cm diameter
- 1 soup tureen 24cm diameter
- 1 round serving plate 28.5 cm in diameter
- 1 salad bowl 27.5ø
1 oval serving dish, 34.5x23.5 cm.
The model – Antico Doccia / Ariston
The Antico Doccia shape is the most renowned and beloved in Ginori's production: a historic line introduced in the 18th century, characterized by wavy profiles, a shaped rim, and very high-quality porcelain. The Ariston decoration, with its tiny floral bouquets alternated with gilded botanical motifs, combines delicacy and classic taste. The presence of a pure gold border, typical of the house's most refined productions, gives the set great brightness, designed for formal and elegant tables.
The manufactory – Richard Ginori
Founded in 1735 by Marquis Carlo Ginori, the Doccia manufactory is one of the oldest and most prestigious in Europe. Famous for the quality of its porcelain, floral decorations, and mastery in the use of gold, Ginori has defined the aesthetic of Italian tableware for centuries. The brand visible on the back belongs to the historical productions of Richard Ginori from the 20th century, crafted with the same artisanal care that made the Florence factory famous.
Condition
The item is in excellent condition: the porcelain is intact, bright, and free of chips or cracks. The floral decorations are sharp and vivid, while the gold borders appear splendid, uniform, and still luminous, with minimal or no wear. Overall, the set is extremely well-maintained and cohesive, indicating very limited use and careful preservation.
Shipping
Extremely accurate and secure packaging with multilayer protections. Shipping via traceable courier.
