Early XXth Century bed linen in line with C.M. initials. - Textile - 2.8 m - 2.2 m

This is an excellent bed linen with ideal dimensions for todays bedding.
The width is 2m20 will deck the bed up to 1m80.
The initials C.M. are well and sympathetically designed.
The letters slightly lean over to the right which gives an interesting finish.
The initials are mainly outlined and then filled in with "pinhead embroidery"
to create shading with the exception of the one vertical piece of the letter M.
which has been embroidered in high relief.
The border has garlands of "polka dot" embroidery, twigs with flowers , leaves and open thread work.
The design continues at the sides 'approx. 55cm ) with open thread work "carrying" a branch with flora and polka dot design.
In between the two rows of open thread work are scatterings of polka dots.
