Wall mirror with integrated lighting in a vintage classic style, dating from 1970–1980, featuring a carved and lacquered wood frame with glass diffusers and metal decorative details.
Description from the seller
Wall Mirror with Integrated Wall Lamp (Lateral Lighting) - Vintage/Classical Style
This is a fascinating and functional piece of furniture, a true wall mirror with integrated lighting, ideal for classic or vintage environments. The dark wood frame (probably walnut or stained beech) is flanked by two turned columns extending from the frame itself. The distinctive elements are the two decorated glass tubes (diamond cut) placed at the center of the columns, serving as diffusers for the internal lamps. The crest and base are embellished with details in gilded/brass fused metal (scrolls and curls), giving a pronounced vintage style and great decorative value.
Mirrors with integrated lighting like this one were very popular in boudoirs or elegant bathrooms of the 20th century, as they provided a direct and flattering light, ideal for grooming and makeup. They symbolized personal care and discreet luxury. The warm light filtering through the crafted glass creates a unique atmosphere, making this mirror not just a functional wall object but a true scenographic element that tells the story of the elegance and refinement of interiors from a bygone era.
Type: Wall Mirror with integrated lighting (Mirror-Applique). Style: Classic / Vintage. Material: Frame in Turned and Lacquered Wood; Details in Gold Plated Brass / Copper; Diffusers in Worked Glass. Features: Double side columns with lighting; Decorative scrollwork on the crest and base.
Detailed Measurements: Height: 88 cm, Width: 68 cm, Depth: 8 cm
weight 10.7 kg
Conditions: Good vintage conditions. The wood is solid and well-preserved, and the metal details are intact. The electrical system is present and functional (as seen in the illuminated photo), but due to its age, a review is recommended. There is a small on/off button, but it can be connected to the wall by replacing it with a switch or directly through a wall socket if desired.
A rare piece that combines the charm of a vintage mirror with the functionality of light.
