Description from the seller

Collector - Inaugural Release batch 1

THE VINTAGE :

The very first release from the Lagg distillery on the Isle of Arran. This version was aged in first-fill bourbon casks for three years before being bottled in 2022.
THE LAGG DISTILLERY

The Isle of Arran, located in Scotland, is home to the Lagg distillery, whose aim is to produce a high-quality peated single malt.

The distillery selects barley from its own estate, which is then malted to initiate germination.

The barley is then dried in a kiln where peat from all over Scotland and abroad is burned, allowing Lagg to experiment with the effects of peat on whiskies.

The dried barley is then milled and mashed with water before the addition of yeasts essential for fermentation.
It is this final step that allows the sugars to be transformed into alcohol and become what is commonly known as the "wash."
After two distillations, the eau-de-vie is aged in oak barrels for several years.
The distillery explores all possibilities by varying the barley, yeast strains, and even certain production steps.
