Description from the seller

A tempera on paper with warm, autumnal tones, featuring pastose marks and an evident search for filtered light among the trees. The scene appears naturalistic and evocative, conveying an intimate sensation between forest and glow, executed with a swift hand and vibrant color.

Dimensions 21.9 x 26.8 cm (tempera)
35 x 41 cm. (cornice with glass)

Era and style
Orfeo Tamburi (Jesi, 1910 – Paris, 1994) studied at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma and moved to Paris, where he was strongly influenced by Cézanne. He created numerous landscapes, urban glimpses, and isolated or naturalistic views — often using techniques on paper, such as watercolor, tempera, or gouache, especially during the 1930s–1960s.
