A very comprehensive work, illustrated with 170 engravings either outside the text or within the text, on the life of the past and the life of today.

Conserved in a beautiful pink half-leather binding, with boards covered in percaline, triple fillet framing the boards, gilded corner ornaments, and a centered title. The spine is decorated with gilded panels and corner ornaments. Gilded edges.
In very good condition. Minor scratches on the cuts and corners. Fresh and clean interior, free of rust spots.
