In Alchemy of Twin Figures, I explore the construction of identity and the relationship between duality and synthesis within a contemporary neo-Cubist language. The work presents an encounter between two presences that, although differentiated in their features and chromatisms, share the same symbolic field. This duplicity does not aim to literally depict an intimate scene but to create an alchemical space where the figures transform each other.

The palette, deliberately intense, articulates the tension between the organic and the ritual. Deep greens and earthy ochres establish an anchor in the material, while turquoise, pink, and vibrant reds introduce a more spiritual and liturgical dimension. The dialogue between these colors creates an internal system of correspondences that breaks the traditional hierarchy of the pictorial plane, distributing the emotional charge equally among figures, objects, and background.

The composition is organized through superimposed planes and firm contour lines, resources that allow me to fragment the form without disrupting the visual narrative. Space is conceived as a symbolic stage: the table functions as a hub of exchange and transformation, and the containers, gestures, and directions of gaze acquire an almost ceremonial character. This structuring invites us to think of the work not as a representation, but as a process: a visual laboratory where figures are redefined through interaction rather than individuality.

The piece is part of my research on the convergence between Caribbean cubism, everyday spirituality, and geometric language, exploring how human figures can operate as metaphorical entities within an expanded pictorial plane.
