Heavy Bodhisattva – fire-gilded bronze – statue originates from Nepal or the Tibet-China border region. The style of the figure, depicting a Bodhisattva (probably Padmapani or Tara) in an elegant pose, is typical of Nepali and Tibetan art – mid-20th century.
A very finely crafted, gilded bronze sculpture of the Bodhisattva.
The statue displays all the features of high-quality Himalayan art: the figure is richly decorated with jewelry, bangles, and an elaborate headdress.
Bronze gilded with fire-gilding, featuring a warm, uniform gold tone. A Bodhisattva with a tilted hip (tribhanga triple-bent) statue, most likely originating from Nepal or the Tibetan-Chinese border region. The style of the figure, depicting a Bodhisattva (probably Padmapani or Tara) in an elegant pose, is typical of Nepali and Tibetan art, influenced by Nepali works.
