Deeply rooted in the vineyard since 1580, 14 generations of the Beyer family have transmitted their passion for wine from one generation to the next. This age-old family memory serves as a guarantee of their savoir-faire. Numerous scrupulously preserved archives, documents and notebooks are the living memory of their wine estate. Steeped in regional history, these documents were written either in Old French or in Old German. They tell the story of their passion: the vineyard of Eguisheim.
The origins of the Beyer family merge with the history of Alsatian viticulture. The archives of the estate attest to its presence in Eguisheim as early as the end of the 16th century.
