Description from the seller
Brood
Nobody expected Herman B rood, the ultimate Dutch rock ‘n roller to get very old. But his suicide came as a shock. Luckily we still have his music. Fans will agree that his first years were his best. Here are five albums, three of which are real collectors items.
All albums are in exemplary condition. First pressed, bought in the week of release, always well protected by inner and outer sleeves. Not how Herman would have trewated them, that is for sure.
On offer his first few, except his debut Street which you already have, no?
1. 1975 Showbizz Blues HB Flash and Dance Band. This is a record you will not find easily. According to Wikipedia it features guitargod Jan Akkerman and Hans Lafaille. It was recorded and released in 1975 and rereleased a few times when he rose to fame. This is a first pressed rerelease, as the thank you notes prove. Ariola 200.231. First pressed, vinyl and sleeve mint.
2. 1978. Shpritz The Wild romance at its very best. Every song a classic: dope sucks, r&r junky, Saturday night, Doreen, Get lost, Multiseller but this is one of the very first copies: No Anton Corbijn credit on the (wonderful) inner sleeve. Ariola 26122XOT, Netherlands. First pressed. Vinyl mint Sleeve NM (mint but little name on top)
3. 1979. Cha Cha Cashing in on his formidable live act. High energy all around. Drugs were so abundant that many of the recordings went haywire. Herman made it no secret that the audience part were from a Def Leppard recording… Ariola 200 230, Netherlands. First pressed. Vinyl and sleeve mint
4. 1979. As Saturday Night even got high in the American charts, Herman tried a tour there. That was no success, the flirting with drugs was not acceptable at that time. The tour was accompanied by a States-only version of Shpritz. This one. Herman Brood, Ariola America, SW 50059, Canada. First pressed
5. 1979. Live. Cuby and the blizzards featuring HB. Cashing in on the success, old tapes were found and released. Melody Express 1, Netherlands, first pressed. Vinyl and sleeve mint
As said, all albums in wonderful condition. not a scratch, tear of wear. They will be preciously packed and swiftly send.
