Description from the seller

Chess game depicting two armies from different cultures during the Moorish era.
After the Muslim conquest of North Africa in the 8th century, the Arabs conquered the Iberian Peninsula and named it Al-Andalus. This marked the beginning of Arab-Muslim Spain. From that time, the term 'Moorish' came to refer to the architecture created by the Arabs of Spain, and the term 'Moor' came to designate Muslims, particularly those living in Al-Andalus, whether of Arab or Berber origin. These populations primarily landed in the Maghreb and along the Barbary Coast after the expulsion of all Muslims ordered by the Spanish Catholic Monarchy in the 16th century, following the Reconquista.
Game dimensions: 44.5 cm x 44.5 cm.
The King and Queen coins, 10 cm
Cavaliers 8.5 cm
Focus 10 cm.
Tours 8 cm
Pions 7 cm
Good overall condition, see the photos.
Each piece will be individually packaged because they are ceramic and fragile. The era is the 1990s.
