This Showa period Japanese doll depicts a refined geisha gracefully holding a fan. She is dressed in a vivid red kimono adorned with fan-shaped designs featuring iris, peony, and maple leaves, alongside seasonal motifs of plum blossoms and chrysanthemums. The obi contrasts boldly in black and orange, decorated with large cherry blossoms and a hexagonal pattern, enhancing the elegance of her attire.
The fan she holds bears a golden background painted with green pines, a traditional symbol of longevity and endurance.
