Comando G is a group of young winemakers founded by Fernando Garcia (Domaine Maranones) and Daniel Gomez Jimenez-Landi (Domaine Jimenez-Landi).
Agronomists, winemakers, and winemakers with a great sense of humor, they came together in 2008 with the goal of creating "the best Grenache wine in the world." Their vineyards are located in the Sierra de Gredos, between Madrid and Ávila, within the Vinos de Madrid appellation. The grapes come from various plots, totaling 3.3 hectares of old Grenache vines (between 50 and 80 years old) on granitic soil, at an altitude of between 850 and 1150 meters. Here, everything is done biodynamically, respecting nature. Production amounts to 15,000 to 20,000 bottles per year. The wines, in a style reminiscent of Burgundy, are fresh, pleasant, and elegant, with a youthful character.
