Watchmaker Louis Jouard (1) (1643-1715)
White email dial with Roman numerals on a textured surface - black. External continuous line minute track with prominent large Arabic 5-minute markers. Additionally, an inner minute track. Artfully crafted baroque hands - gold-colored. Locking mechanism for case opening at the six o'clock position. Beautiful condition - slight repair at the locking mechanism for case opening. Crown at the three o'clock position.
Winding key and hand setting key are present on the dial square.
Silver case in very good condition - multiple hallmarks inside.
High-quality, finely fire-gilded original movement with square column pilasters and delicate spindle bracket, crafted in the form of a tight floral lattice with engraved border, marked 'Jouard Paris.' An exceptionally beautiful and interesting collector's clock. Finely worked down to the smallest detail. Masterful craftsmanship. Very good condition.
