Vinified in stainless steel vats for 15 days at controlled temperatures between 20ºC and 23ºC. Ageing in French oak barrels for 18 months.
TASTING NOTES
Features of ruby red color. Complex and intense aroma where red fruits, black cherry and plum. Firm acidity and tannis making it a balanced, intense and velvety wine, with a long fruity finish.
SERVING
Ideal with red meat, game, and strong dishes. It should be served at a temperature between of 16ºC. Store in a dark and cool place (12ºC to 14ºC), in the horizontal position with minimum vibration.
HISTORY
Cortes do Tua Wines arises from the intersection between the Tua Valley’s vineyards and the hand of two young winemakers Duarte da Costa and Ana de Almeida.
The passion for wine, the international experience and the wine tradition of the Douro united these two young people in the production of harmonious, balanced and elegant wines.
The grapes of Cortes at Tua Wines come from 15 acres of vineyards divided into parcels. The white wine vineyards are located at an altitude of 500 to 700 m. And the red wines are located on the slopes of the Tua River, at a height of 300 to 400 m.
The Cortes do Tua winery is located in the Douro Superior sub-region in Pombal de Ansiães, Carrazeda de Ansiães.
