Painting of Soviet social realism by Mishchenko Porfiry Matveevich (1918-2005), Portrait of Lenin, 200 x 130 cm, 1960s, oil on canvas.

The painting will be sold with a certificate of authenticity from the Museum of Art in Cernigov (Ukraine), bearing the expert's signature, the archive catalog number, and the date.

Attention!!! Only the canvas is shipped rolled in a sturdy cardboard or plastic tube (without frame and mount).

biography
Member of the Union of Artists since 1968. Born in Zhukovtzy, Kiev province, on February 26, 1918. Studied at the Kiev Art Institute until 1952, where his teachers were S. Grigoriev and V. Kostetski. Active in Kiev, Ukraine. He worked in the field of easel painting. Major works include: 'Young Reinforcements' (1952); portrait of the trumpeter V. Gorb (1958); 'To the Soldiers, to Prisoners' (1964); 'Memories' (1965), and others. He participated in exhibitions: republican since 1952, pan-unionist since 1958. He took part in the Second World War, where he was awarded the Order of the 'Red Star' and other medals. His paintings are part of the collections of various Ukrainian museums and private collections across several European countries.
