DESCRIPTION
The work from the beginning has always focused on searching for old vines in the most genuine and least explored places in the Douro, where there are new stories to tell in the form of wine. It was at the foot of Serra do Reboredo (1,000 meters high), in Paredes da Beira, at the highest point in the Douro, that it all began. Surrounded by an abundance of granite outcrops, the area has sandy granite soils interspersed with quartz veins, altitude between 700 – 1,000 mts, located on the slopes of the Távora River and has an enviable heritage of centuries-old vineyards, untouched over time and maintained by hands weathered by years of hard work for generations. This results in wines of great freshness, character and identity!
The focus will always be on leveraging the best that the vineyard offers, respecting its history, tradition and the essence of its people.

WINE VARIETIES: Blend of red varieties.

VINIFICATION
Fresh grapes at their ideal ripening point, picked by hand into 20 kg boxes, are transported to the cellar where they have been subjected to careful manual selection. They are de-stemmed and foot-trodden in a stone press, where it ferments and then goes into French oak barrels where it remains in aging until bottling. Blend of several years with a minimum aging of 32 months in French Oak barrels.

TASTING NOTES
Irregular, scattered and variable are the fragments of our granite soils. To them we added the remaining fragments that bring an unshakable harmony and unquestionable identity to a wine: the altitude, the personality of each of the grape varieties mixed and planted for more than a century and the knowledge of our people! To this Fragmented we gave our best!
Dark colored wine with slight brick tones. Expressive on the nose, with notes of black fruit, chocolate, licorice, rockrose and smoke. In the mouth, it is a very fatty wine, with great persistence and freshness.

SERVING
Enjoy with dishes with a complex and rich flavor, such as game, sausages and traditional oven roasts. Serve at 16ºC – 17ºC.
