C (Baum) F Schweiz - Large 18K gold pocket watch, model Schweiz around 1850, with a hand-wound movement, dating to 1850–1900, in a yellow gold case.

Very large, exceptional Lepine 18K gold pocket watch with hour strike showing the number of hours and a strike for the half hour. Repetition of the previous hour strike with a pusher in the manner of a repeater.
Fine work with two spring barrels.
The case is made of 18K yellow gold (0.750) and is shaped with a guilloché pattern. The watch weight is 126.6 grams.
The dial is finished in silver and is in very good condition. It features fine Roman numerals in black on a smooth ring, with an outer minute track marked by reinforced 5-minute intervals. The original decorative hands are engine-turned and blued. The central part is guilloché. Very well preserved.
Perforated back side with a free monogram field - inside stamped and manufacturer mark.
Inner lid with a smooth metal finish, also smooth on the inside.
Fire-gilded movement with a highly interesting construction. Two barrels. First-class condition of the movement.
Winding key, strike and going train, and the time setting key are present on the inner lid. Right-wind.
Strike on tone springs
Work and percussion mechanism functioning
Collection project, therefore no testing of running time and movement accuracy.
Self-strike. The hours and the half-hour are struck once — strike bright and fine.
Using the pedant press's hourly repetition of the past strike of the hours.
Very good overall condition.
Watch diameter 57mm with pendant 77.8mm. Weight 126.6g.
