Which in turn was inspired by Raphael's fresco of God creating the sun and moon, located in one of the loggias of the Vatican. See the last photo.

The central medallion features God in a dynamic pose, depicted in a grisaille palette with a beautifully fluttering garment. His arms are spread wide, and the round contour beneath him represents his new creation (sun or moon). Surrounded by a blue frieze featuring various Renaissance motifs such as mythical animals and shell shapes. The border is glazed in yellow.

Condition: professionally restored, only visible on the back. See the last 2 photos. One is yellowish (restored) and the other has a natural cream color with manufacturing flaws (unrestored). Such pieces are almost always restored. If not, they are in a museum or an important collection.
