The company De Roches & fils was active from around 1720 until the 19th century and was based in Geneva. Watches from this manufacturer are part of the collection of the S.K.M., the Wallace Collection, the M.M.A., the Dennison Collection, the Fränkel Collection, and the Mathematical-Physical Salon Dresden.
Beautiful spindle clock with very fine painting - The Tree of Life
White enamel dial with Arabic numerals and outer minute track. Original playful steel hands blued with ring inlay. Crown positioned next to the two. Signed below the 12: FS Deroches. Well preserved. A repair has been made to the crown.
Bezel with stone setting ring, diamond splinters - all stones present.
Lift key for workshop and pointer setting available.
On the back cover, an email painting from the master class depicts a woman and her son observing a small tree, with the finest line work. Well preserved. Blue border ring with dot decoration.
LETON case with the number 4832. Same number as in the factory.
Classic spindle movement with floral spindle clamp. Silver disc for setting the work speed. Signed Fs Deroches. Geneva 4832.
Work is functioning.
As a collector's item, the accuracy and running duration were not tested.
Origin around 1760.
Watch diameter without the pendant: 48mm. With a total diameter of 69.4mm. Total weight: 83.2g.
