Unusual large and rare early pocket watch in a silver case. Ornate champlevé dial with date, repoussé case back, and an elaborate movement with a splendid cock - very well crafted.
Rare early collector's watch
Original case in very beautiful condition.
Work detachment with pin on the dial.
Fine high-quality repoussé case with engraved bezel on the front and impressive engraving on the back. Embedded decorative pattern featuring a multi-figure scene—the departure of the ship. Impeccable first-class condition. An eye-catcher.
Fine dial - silver-colored - very good condition - so-called Champlevé dial. Engraved Roman numerals. Recessed fields between the numerals with appliqués. High-quality design. External continuous minute track on a smooth curved ring - externally inset engraved Arabic numerals from 5 to 60 in black. Fine floral decorations in the center. Above the hand wheel, the word MATRINGE is inscribed; below the hand wheel, the word LON is inscribed. Date field with a gold-colored background and engraved number DON. Handcrafted baroque-style gold-colored finely decorated hands. Engraved gold-colored dial edge. First-class condition.
