Silver-plated Champagne Cooler – Roux-Marquiand, France – mid-20th century

Elegant French silver-plated champagne cooler by Roux-Marquiand, the renowned Parisian silversmith and designer also known for creating tableware and barware for Hermès.

This refined piece features a pearl beaded border (perlé décor) and perfectly balanced proportions — a hallmark of French craftsmanship from the mid-century period. The solid ring handles on each side add both function and understated sophistication.

About the silversmith
Roux-Marquiand was an established Parisian silversmith active from the 1930s to the 1960s. The workshop produced finely crafted silver-plated items and collaborated with prestigious French luxury houses such as Hermès, creating elegant objects in the spirit of Art Deco and French classicism. Their work is admired for its timeless design, superior plating quality, and elegant geometric lines.
