The Bushmills Steamship Port Cask Reserve is the 2nd edition of this small series honoring the 125th anniversary of the SS Bushmills, a steamship that served the distillery. What makes this exquisite Bushmills Steamship Port Cask bottling special is that this triple-distilled Irish single malt matured the entire time in fine port wine casks from Portugal. The casks for this limited edition come from a very renowned port wine producer in the Douro Valley. The Bushmills Steamship Port Cask Reserve is bottled in the very classic 700 ml bottle at 40% ABV.
Nose: Intense aromas of dark, ripe fruits with a hint of port wine sweetness, which are very distinctive on the nose with traces of oak and vanilla.
Taste: Voluminous aromas of dark chocolate with a hint of black coffee and port wine. Underneath are hints of tropical fruits and fresh vanilla. Very complex and with a fantastic balance of flavors, it glides smoothly into the finish.
