Denis Mihai - Black sheep

Born in 1969, Denis Mihai is a visual artist with a thorough artistic training and a sustained activity in the field of fine arts. His style is distinguished by a modernist approach, with cubist and expressionist influences, in which the human figure is geometrically fragmented and reconfigured into vibrant compositions, full of chromatic tension and symbolism. His vibrant and geometric style explores the human figure, nature and the universe through color, form and visual tension.
His works explore the relationship between form, color and identity, and each painting becomes a visual meditation on emotion and structure. His bold palette, dynamic compositions and juxtapositions of volumes give the paintings a special visual force, evoking echoes of Picasso, Léger or even German Expressionism, but with a personal and recognizable stylistic imprint.

Throughout his career, Denys has exhibited in numerous galleries and cultural spaces in Romania and abroad, and his works can today be found in private collections in Europe, America and Asia.
