The Christopher Ward C65 Trident Automatic is a '60s-inspired dive watch that builds upon the design of the original C65 Trident Diver by incorporating a Swiss-made automatic movement.
It features a 41mm stainless steel case with a thickness of 11.55mm and a lug-to-lug length of 47.1mm, making it a medium-sized watch with a slim profile for a dive watch.
The watch is water-resistant to 150 meters, though it uses a push-pull crown rather than a screw-down one, which limits its suitability for deep diving but still makes it appropriate for swimming and other water activities.

The C65 Trident Automatic is available in three dial and bezel combinations: black with black bezel, black with red bezel, and blue with blue bezel.
The blue dial version, featuring a matte finish and matching blue bezel, is particularly noted for its resemblance to the Tudor Black Bay 58 Navy Blue, with a clear, bright blue that absorbs light without shine.
The dial has a clean, minimalist design with applied tan lume-filled round indices, stick indices at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock, and a double stick at 12 o'clock. The hands are lume-filled with polished edges, and the seconds hand includes a lumed tip and a trident-shaped counterweight.
A date window is located at the 3 o'clock position with a black date wheel.

Powering the watch is the Sellita SW200-1 movement, a Swiss-made automatic movement based on the ETA 2824, with a 26-jewel count, a 4Hz beat rate (28,800 bph), and a 38-hour power reserve.
The movement includes a hacking function for precise time setting and is decorated with a "Colimaçoné" finish and the brand's twin flags pattern on the rotor.
The watch features a sapphire crystal with a blue anti-reflective coating on the underside, enhancing legibility and durability.

The unidirectional aluminum bezel has 120 clicks and is designed with a matte finish to match the dial, featuring white lume at the 5-minute marks and a triangular marker at 12 o'clock.
The bracelet is a solid stainless steel design with a deployant clasp, ratcheting micro-adjustments, and quick-release spring bars for easy strap changes.
The watch is also available on various straps, including rubber, canvas, leather, and hybrid options, with the Camel Vintage Oak leather strap being a popular choice for its complement to the vintage lume. This watch comes with three straps: the original brown leather strap, a very comfortable blue vegan faux leather strap and a blue rubber strap.

The C65 Trident Automatic has a unique logo placement, with the brand name printed at the 9 o'clock position and a recessed double flag logo below 12 o'clock, which some find unconventional but does not detract from the overall appeal.
