Description from the seller
This is a beautiful and authentic vintage Seiko 5 automatic wristwatch, reference 6119-6410, which has been dated to June 1974. This model showcases the quality and reliability of Seiko's production from this era.
Case and Dial
The watch features a distinctive, rounded tonneau-shaped case with a highly wearable 37 mm case width. The gold-plated finish adds a touch of 1970s luxury. The case back is clearly marked with the reference 6119-6410 and the serial number indicating the 1974 date.
The striking gold sunburst dial is clean and legible, perfectly complemented by large, applied gold hour markers and matching gold baton hands. It features the classic Seiko 5 emblem and is marked "AUTOMATIC 21 JEWELS."
A key aesthetic detail is the Silver Chapter Ring (or Dial Ring) that surrounds the main dial. This element contains the minute/second track and provides a desirable sense of depth, separating the indices from the inner edge of the crystal. The large day/date window at 3 o'clock clearly shows the day (in English) and the date.
Movement and Condition
The watch is powered by the dependable Seiko Caliber 6119C, a 21-jewel automatic movement known for its durability. The movement has been recently serviced and is running smoothly and keeping excellent time, making it ready for immediate wear.
The watch comes fitted on its original, period-correct gold-plated Seiko H-link bracelet. As is common with watches of this age, the bracelet shows some signs of stretch, but is fully functional and retains the watch's originality.
