Sato Hageshi, The Shadow Shopper - Darth Vader Star Wars - Signed and Numeroted 8/10, a 2025 giclée print on heavy gloss textured paper (A3, 29 x 42 cm), limited hand-signed edition 8/10 from Japan, in excellent condition with Certificate of Authenticity.
Description from the seller
In this whimsical ukiyo-e inspired scene, Darth Vader strolls through a traditional Japanese convenience store, carrying a woven basket filled with snacks and groceries. Surrounded by women in elegant kimonos and shelves lined with vintage-style products, the Sith Lord appears both imposing and strangely domestic. The artwork blends Star Wars mythology with Edo-era aesthetics, capturing a humorous contrast between Vader’s dark, intimidating presence and the calm everyday life of old Japan. Soft textures, muted colors, and calligraphy panels complete the illusion of a classic woodblock print, making the scene both surreal and charming.
Technique: Giclée print on Heavy Gloss Paper Textured
Size: A3 format (29 x 42 cm)
Edition: Hand-signed by the artist
