Set of 2 Collectible Eggs – “Filigree Egg” & “Tin Egg” – Franklin Mint – The Wonderful World of Eggs Series – 1986–1980s
A rare set of two collectible eggs from The Franklin Mint, from the famous Wonderful World of Eggs series. Two contrasting yet complementary pieces, illustrating the richness of decorative craftsmanship: one in gilded filigree, the other in solid chiseled pewter.
Filigree Egg – Openwork Metal Art
A decorative egg of great finesse made using the traditional filigree technique. A tangle of golden metal threads forms an extremely delicate openwork floral design.
Features :
Material: Gold-plated metal, hand-soldered filigree work
Structure: openwork decoration with floral motifs, hearts and arabesques
Height: approx. 8 cm (with base)
Base: matching gold base
Condition: very good condition, bright gilding, no deformation
Inspired by ancient goldsmithing techniques, particularly Portuguese and Italian, the filigree egg symbolizes lightness, refinement, and elegance. A timeless decorative piece, both delicate and decorative.
Tin Egg – 1986 – Sculpted Animal Decor
Rare solid pewter collector's egg, dated 1986 and marked FM 86 under the base. This model pays homage to nature with a relief decoration depicting a hare surrounded by lush vegetation.
Features :
Material: Relief carved pewter
Decor: finely carved animal scene
Height: approx. 9 cm (including base)
Base: golden pedestal
Signature: FM 86 engraved under the base

The pewter egg showcases the art of repoussé metalwork, an ancestral craft technique. Its matte finish and naturalistic details make it a piece that is at once understated, noble, and expressive.
Two styles, two traditions, one unwavering commitment to quality. These eggs are an exceptional pair for any collector of decorative objects or metal art enthusiast. Display them together to enhance a display case or enrich a collection.
