The five small sculptures depict figures of the Holy Family (Baby Jesus, Mary, and Joseph) and the Animals (Ox and Ass) that capture the Christmas spirit and the artisanal tradition.
In Christian tradition, the Holy Family represents the incarnation of God and purity, while the ox and donkey symbolize, respectively, the conversion from paganism (ox) and humility (donkey), but also the recognition of Christ by all peoples, both Jewish and pagan, as the first sign of faith in the manger.
Baby Jesus: God who becomes man, salvation, and a new beginning.
Madonna (Maria): innocence, purity, faith, and loyalty.
Giuseppe: The guardian, the protector, symbol of wisdom and worker (carpenter), guide for the family and for the Church (the staff that becomes a pastoral staff).
A symbol of pagan religions that recognize Christ, marking the transition from paganism to Christianity; it also represents strength and work.
Little donkey: It represents the humility and meekness of Jesus, but also the Jews, while the ox symbolizes the Gentiles (pagans), all united in recognizing the Savior.
The refined details of terracotta not only enhance the aesthetics of the sculptures but also create a warm and welcoming atmosphere in your home environment.
Don't miss the opportunity to bring home a unique and meaningful piece of art, perfect as a Christmas gift or to make your nativity scene even more special.
