Fine Italian Bowlback Mandolin – Puglisi Reale & Figli, Catania – ca. 1917
Dealer label: Félix Krein, Esch-sur-Alzette (Luxembourg)
Beautiful early-20th-century bowlback mandolin made by the renowned Sicilian workshop Puglisi Reale & Figli, Catania. The internal label and stamps indicate manufacture around 1917, during the golden era of Italian lutherie. Imported and sold by Luxembourg music dealer Félix Krein, whose brass plaque remains on the headstock.
