Lot of 19 natural history lithographs from the mid- to late-19th century, mainly hand-coloured lithographs, by Lit. Petraroja and A. Di Lorenzo dis., in Italian, each approximately 40 x 30 cm with 19 pages, in good condition.

Vintage Natural History Prints (Ornithology, Reptiles, Exotic Animals, Seahorses)
A vast and splendid collection of 19 vintage natural history prints (mainly lithographs, many meticulously hand-colored), offering a fascinating glimpse into the animal world as it was illustrated in the 19th century. The collection includes exotic birds, domestic birds, nocturnal raptors, reptiles, venomous and non-venomous snakes, arachnids, and a rare marine subject.
The prints come from an Italian zoological publication from the 19th century (estimated dating: mid/late 1800s) and are of particular interest due to their graphic quality. Many bear the signatures of the creators, such as 'Lit. Petraroja' and 'A. Di Lorenzo dis.' (designer).
Technique: Lithography or engraving on thick paper, with contemporary hand coloring.
