Volume XXI – 1922 – 901 pages – 1993
Good condition. Some signs of rubbing on the covers, small tears, minor dents, a few scratches, sometimes whitish, and slight discoloration of the cardboard, but all without serious damage. Photos have been attached of Marcel Proust or Philip Kolb on the back of the covers, or sometimes on certain pages, for most of the volumes. In some books, small excerpts from newspaper articles have been glued (e.g., Volume XIV). There may still be some scattered pencil inscriptions that can be erased. The cover of Volume XIX has a stain on the front flat that has radiated onto the back cover; perhaps the volume was slightly damaged by humidity (despite the pages being in very good condition). This defect is also visible but less pronounced in Volume XXI. Some marks are present along the gutters. We do not note any other notable defects at the time of writing this listing, but given the number of volumes, it is possible, though unlikely, that some may have been overlooked (see photos).
