Testamatta Toscana IGT 2016 is a red wine produced by the Bibi Graetz winery, located in the hills of Fiesole, near Florence, in Tuscany. This wine is made from 100% Sangiovese grapes selected from five distinct vineyards: Vincigliata, Londa, Lamole, Montefili and Siena, characterised by vines aged between 50 and 80 years. Vinification takes place in 225-litre open barriques, with fermentation carried out using indigenous yeasts and frequent manual punching down. The wine is then aged for about 18 months in used French oak barriques. Testamatta 2016 has a bright ruby red colour. The nose offers a complex and elegant bouquet, with notes of ripe cherry, plum, sweet spices, leather and light toasted nuances. On the palate, it is structured and harmonious, with silky tannins and lively acidity that lends freshness. The finish is long and persistent, with hints of red fruit and spices. This wine is the pure expression of Tuscan Sangiovese, combining tradition and creativity in perfect balance.
