Description from the seller
Wine stored in a wine cellar at the right temperature and good humidity.
Les Charmes is located in Meursault, in the heart of Burgundy's Côte de Beaune, renowned for its prestigious Chardonnay-based white wines. Les Charmes is located just east of the village of Meursault, adjacent to other famous lieux-dits such as Les Genevrières and Les Perrières. This premier cru is characterized by its clay-limestone soils, which offer good drainage and promote the concentration of aromas. The vines are ideally oriented, benefiting from optimal sunshine. The cuvée is made from carefully selected hand-picked grapes. After gentle pressing, the juice ferments in oak barrels, 30% of which are new, for a period of six months. Aging on fine lees brings complexity and roundness to the wine.
The color is golden with bright highlights. On the nose, aromas of white fruits, hazelnut, and floral notes are revealed. On the palate, a beautiful roundness combines with refreshing acidity, offering a long, mineral finish.
