Boerendorp leven, a 1930–1940 oil painting by Hendrik Hendriks (Netherlands), sold with frame.
Description from the seller
As you could see, a very nice piece of work by this painter.
Occasionally, one passes by, but there isn't much information about him. I came across something from museum service about the family of this painter and will include the description.
It is also in good condition and the panel measures 27x18 cm.
The painter H. Hendriks is my grandfather; his real name was Hendrik Henrichs. He was born in Amsterdam in 1882 as one of an identical twin, his brother named Jan Henrichs. Both were artists; Jan attended the academy of fine arts in Amsterdam, while Hendrik took evening classes at the same academy because he had to continue his late father's bed shop. He worked and lived in Amsterdam his entire life, regularly drawing on location in the Netherlands, and produced many etchings and oil paintings. He died in 1950 in Amsterdam. I never knew him, but my father, born in 1922, told me a lot about him. Many of his works are preserved in the family; he didn't care much for selling paintings and preferred to keep everything himself.
