Adriano Tuninetto was an Italian painter born in 1930 in Pancalieri.
He contributed to the development of 20th-century art, exploring various artistic movements such as expressionism and informal art.
He won the 'Pirelli Prize' for painting in 1955 and had a solo exhibition in 1956 in Milan.
He attended Filippo Scroppo's school and became involved in the CO.BR.A. movement, developing his expressionist motifs in a personal way.
Subsequently, he experimented with informal art by creating abstract works and oil paintings that explore color variations. In the 1960s, he focused on action painting, using broad brushstrokes of color.
He is considered an important representative of gestural art in Italy.
He also conducted important research in the field of ceramics and experimented with glassworking.
His/Her works are preserved in various Italian and international museums.
Tuninetto died in Turin on April 17, 2004.
