Model History
Introduced in the late 1960s, the Universal Genève White Shadow line was part of the brand’s revolutionary pursuit of ultra-thin automatic watches. At the heart of these models was the iconic Microtor movement - a technical achievement that placed a compact, off-centre oscillating weight inside the main plate, allowing the entire calibre to remain remarkably slim.
The cal. 2-66, fitted in this reference, belongs to the later generation of micro-rotor movements, known for improved efficiency, elegant finishing and proven reliability. The White Shadow became one of Universal Genève’s emblematic dress watches of the era, combining sleek mid-century design with some of the most advanced micromechanical engineering of its time.

Condition
This White Shadow is in very nice vintage condition. The stainless steel case shows light wear consistent with age but retains its elegant, flowing lines. The silver sunburst dial is clean and well-preserved with sharp applied indices. The original crystal has been polished. The movement - the sought-after cal. 2-66 Microtor -- is running reliably and has been serviced. Offered with a 3-month functionality warranty.
